the next day is a little longer
Today my mission was to go and seek out the flowers I’ve noticed lately just coming into bloom. They grow in swathes of ground I normally overlook, as the plants grow everywhere they can find a patch, and are considered by many to be a nuisance, at best unwelcome, and though the leaf is prettyContinue reading “the next day is a little longer”
Solstice
Friends of the Glen gathered under a blue sky we walked and halted in sunny spots cool spots and midge infested spots, we met William a man who had been lifted out of the Glen River as a boy by the hand of God, the river was wider and deeper then and the North BankContinue reading “Solstice”
Merry Christmas

I met a beautiful horse and his shy rider today, having a bathe in the icy water to keep the moths from his hoofs, we chatted a while by the bridge where the water is clearest and I was allowed to take some photos of Comanche but then asked to delete them, people don’t likeContinue reading “Comanche George”
Sunview East
This is the way I access the Glen….. This sign is not just weathered, it’s weather – the traces are active – I feel the clouds moving, the growth charged and torn and the faintest hint of an old language merging with the surface – it’s the way in with a ray of light
Oak Fork
On the high rise of the Glen valley. A place to linger and listen under the open branches of this generous tree, her fractal antennae delicately filtering and mixing the songs of birds with human sounds from below
